MJ Bacon, LAPC

Hello! My name is Mary Joyce (MJ), and I specialize in supporting women. I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling at Georgia State University in 2006. During my clinical training, I treated women with eating disorders and anxiety. I have a special interest in working with the psychological aspects of the reproductive stage, including infertility, postpartum challenges, child loss, adoption, and living childfree. Additionally, I specialize in working with the emotional, mental, relational, and physical issues related to perimenopause and menopause.

I find it incredibly gratifying to help women understand their needs and their biology so they can feel empowered and find effective coping skills. I believe knowledge is power, and I believes in women feeling empowered in every aspect of their lives. I help clients discover the factors that they can control and those they may not be able to control so that together we can find the best route to healing and wellness.

In addition to providing individual therapy, I greatly enjoy working with couples. As humans, we are wired to connect and form relationships. Feeling connected and supported by others is critical to living a life of fulfillment. And, when our relationships are the source of distress and pain, it can be difficult to feel fulfilled in any area of life. I support couples working through a wide range of challenges, including infertility, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.

Each 50-minute session with me is $150. The initial 60-minute assessment session is $165. Currently, all sessions are self-pay. However, if you would like to file for insurance reimbursement, I can provide a superbill. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please reach out at 404-981-6165 or MJ@TriciaAnbinder.com.
